Clemson Needs Key Rookies to Show Out In Order to Win

Evaluating the Impact of Newcomers on the Tigers' Title Hopes

Clemson has won two national championships in the past five years, but they'll need key rookies to step up in 2023 if they want to contend for another title.

Here are five freshmen who could make a big impact for the Tigers this season:

1. Cade Klubnik, Quarterback

Klubnik was the No. 1 quarterback recruit in the country in 2022, and he's expected to start for Clemson this season.

He's a talented passer with a strong arm and good mobility. If he can adjust to the college game quickly, he could be one of the best quarterbacks in the ACC.

2. Adam Randall, Wide Receiver

Randall is a 6'4" wide receiver with great speed and athleticism.

He's a dangerous deep threat, and he could be a key target for Klubnik this season.

3. Toriano Pride, Running Back

Pride is a 5'11", 220-pound running back with a powerful running style.

He's a good runner between the tackles, and he can also catch passes out of the backfield.

4. Jaheim Oatis, Defensive Tackle

Oatis is a 6'4", 330-pound defensive tackle with a lot of potential.

He's still developing, but he has the size and strength to be a disruptive force in the middle of Clemson's defense.

5. Shemar James, Linebacker

James is a 6'1", 235-pound linebacker with good speed and tackling ability.

He's expected to play a key role in Clemson's defense this season.

These are just five of the many talented freshmen who could make a big impact for Clemson this season.

If they can step up and play well, the Tigers could be in contention for another national championship.
